I Predict A Riot....

So as we all know and have probably heard about quite a lot lately my blog will be about the Riots kicking off everywhere!

What is really going on here? Why is it all kicking off now? How long will it last?
No one really knows...

The way I understand this is that we live in a world where we need to get everything so fast and if we don't have the latest stuff as soon as it comes out our society balance is all gone. We live in a world where we have put our faith in so many things but it has all failed on us.

Politics - Failed
Money - Failed
Education - Failed
Society - Failed

It seems to be a pattern where we put way to much faith in things where we don't really have that much say. In politics we vote in a person who is suppose to look after our government and country who has the weight of the whole country and the people upon them. We can't expect everything to change but we can expect honesty in which we still haven't gotten.

The fact that we are in a money crisis where jobs are lost left and right and money is getting pretty hard to get hold of, its failed on us and now it seems to be failing all over the world in all the currencies.

I don't understand how we will ever be able to turn this situation around but as soon as I heard about all of these riots starting there were 2 films that sprung to mind.

V For Vendetta - In this film it puts us in the situation of an England put under curfew, under guard and over all under the thumb. It takes a huge riot/fight back to change the whole system.

Harry Brown - Michel Caine is an old gentlemen tormented by youths in London. The end of the film is a huge riot taking part in the streets in London.

These both came to mind obviously because of the end scenes but because of the kind of "real" feel that they have, that they could actually happen because of the fragile state of the government and of Great Britain.

I can imagine a curfew being in place and a locked down England, to try to tackle the situation but over all I feel and will always stand by my thoughts on tackling the violence with violence.... I don't think it will help, it may bully or force submission but if we look into history when that sort of thing happens its hardly ever the last thing to arise out of the situation.

Overall I feel that as Christians we need to be praying for the government and the youths of today so that they will understand each other and that this sort of thing will not happen again.

Its a shame to think that the British who are known to have a very controlled way of life can snap in a second to turn a protest into a riot. Lets just hope and pray for a educated and different way out of this situation.

The kaiser chiefs were quite right really weren't they....?

Thanks for reading! :)
