So I have now been in Plymouth for like 2 weeks now....
And I am slowly adjusting to the new life here and as I have been doing that I have had a few adventures so here is one.
On Monday I went down to the sea front and decided to have a few hours of dreaming time and alone time so I went down there early and sat there for like 3-4 hours and relaxed. Writing ideas and plans in my trusty notebook as I do and I was feeling good. The sun was shining and it was an awesome time to be there.....
Until.....
Suddenly the heavens opened and it started to rain.... not just spitting... it was chucking it down and as I don't actually own a coat I couldn't put it on... I turned and ran into the closest shop that I could find and as I ran in, my relief suddenly turned to shock as I had ran into a female cloths store... this would of been fine if no one had noticed me but as the rain had suddenly come down so fast they were all looking outside.
A lady came over to me and asked "can I help you in anyway sir?"... I looked at her and said "Not really unless you have a towel?"... Unimpressed the lady said she didn't and on that note I thought it would be best to bail out of there. So I went out into the rain and started to walk around looking for something familiar to guide me back to common ground.
I walked for 15 minutes in the rain looking for such a thing when I suddenly stumbled onto the bus station and then I knew exactly where to go.
I arrived back at the church drenched and cold, wondering if Rachel was around so I could grab a towel and a hoody to get warm again. She wasn't. Rach was in a meeting which was going for 3 hours. So I decided to wait in the hall on some chairs. I grabbed a cup of tea and sat down...
And as I waited there I realized 2 things.... 1 that I couldn't believe that I am so blessed to be waiting for my fiance in the same building, same city, same post code, same country and same time zone as her and not over skype.
and 2.... Tea without milk is a complete disaster...... bleugh
thanks for reading :)
