I Have Come To The Conclusion.....

Here is the situation...

A couple of months ago Rob Bell releases a book called "Love wins" and from this book comes a lot of controversy and hate from Christians, non Christians and everyone else under the sun.

And from that one video clip of Rob Bell the whole Christian system erupts with judgement and condemnation. My question is.... Why? Whats the point?

I have then since admitting to watching the trailer and "standing" in the corner of Rob Bell have been told that I need to look for better sources of teaching and that I'm being "led astray". Its ridiculous. And here is whats going on in my mind now....

Ok so its a controversial subject but after reading the book myself I don't find myself grabbing the nearest pitch fork and joining the witch hunt to take down the "heretic".

Instead I looked at the people who were calling him a "false prophet" and wondered where do they stand then?

I have been looking into Mark Drischoll lately and some of his sermons and blog posts and what not. Trying to work out why he seems to be the answer to everyone's preaching needs and I was actually quite disappointed.

Now I am not the guy who jumps into anyone's corner without knowing why I am there. But it seems that you have to be learning from one of these guys. You can't have both. Its stupid and ridiculous and is only putting more divide into the Christian family.

I notice a couple of things about the 2 preachers. They are almost complete opposites of each other. One being a very soft speaker and one very harsh and hard. One very spacious and one very constant.

Two completely different people who are suppose to have the same heart for the same God and understand and be teaching God's people yet there is a divide between the followers of Bell and the Driscollites (random nick names that I have just thought of not actually names being used..... at least I don't think they are) and this is ridiculous to think that they both lead "super" churches in America and are suppose to be leading their families to know Jesus more.

I am going to say that I am not in any of the preachers corners anymore. I have read majority of Rob Bells books and over the past month or so have listen to a lot of Mark Driscolls sermons and I have came to conclusion that I am fed up with having all of the hassle of who we are taught by and whose books we read.

If they are teaching about Christ then they shouldn't be trying to rip each others throats out.

Christ represents Peace and love and humility.

Surely that's what should be being taught, instead of hate and judgement. As if its even our place.

My opinion is that we are free to learn from who ever we want. Just learn with the intent of seeking and finding Christ through it.
